In August September, Dr Nick Fox and his wife, Barbro, relocate to Northumberland from wales for 2 months of falconry in the open spaces which suit their unique form of flying falcon, on horseback, with crows as the quarry. I am so lucky to be a member of Northumberland Crow Falconers, and go out once or twice a week for this beautiful and unusual sport, to some stunning spots, mostly just north of the Roman Wall. We frequently find ourselves on Hadrians Wall, surprising the walkers somewhat! Last Satruday, a reporter and photographer for 'Country Life' joined us, so we look forward to seeing an article soon. ..Speaking of articles, I was photographed by the Sunday Telegraph for a feature called 'My Space' which appears in the 'Life' section. Again, I will be looking out for that too!
Landscape painting is the order of the day. These stunning autumn colours and dramatic light just do something to me and I simply HAVE to try to describe it all the only way I know how.
