What a week! I was invited to have a stall at Matfen Hall Gift Fair last mon/tuesday at rather late notice, and thought it would be a good idea. I also did it last year, it was good fun, and a nice crowd of people came along to do a bit of Christmas shopping. At the time I had imagined the date would be 26/27 October, NOT 2/3 November..I was already signed up for the Living North Christmas fair, which runs 5,6,7,8 Nov.
I really had barely enough time to get to the fair every day, eat supper, catch up with all the work I had missed each day, sleep, get up again before 7 each day etc etc.
Now we are in a panic about our own christmas weekends, which are very busy usually, and I pride myself on my homemade mince pies and mulled wine, until it comes to making about 600 of them We also make our own mincemeat.
