Oh dear, I am hobbling around on crutches having broken my leg on monday morning. Yes, I was hurled off Ginger who then landed his hooves on my leg after he threw a complete paddy just before a lesson in an indoor arena. I spent all day in Hexham A E, eventually seeing the orthopaedic surgeon who's first question was 'and how is the horse?'.
I have had to cancel my skiing trip to Verbier, and am trying to sort out the insurance. My backside is black and blue and very tender. There is never a good time to break a leg, but this is surely the worst time! If one more person says 'well at least you can paint' they will be ejected.
I have been given THREE boxes of chocolates, all begging to be eaten, so i reckon I will need to go back to the hostpital on a weekly basis to get a new plaster to accommodate my fuller figure and I'll have to buy size 18 clothes.
Only flowers or fruit please.
n the plus side, Fifey i had a lovely break in Aviemore last week. I spent some time up on Cairngorm watching photographing the reindeer, and managed a few hours skiing up there too. The Old Minister's House at Rothiemurchus is probably the best BB I have stayed in, hence this is the third time I have stayed there.
The pregnant ewes behind the studio are looking stunning at the moment, and I am working on two paintings of them, as well as a few more which are more than half way done.
Any ideas about how to get comfortable in bed with a plaster gratefully received....
