Glorious weather here today, it has been like summer for most of the past two weeks and I have patches of sunburn from sitting outside.
As usual, I have been helping with the massive job of lambing at the farm next door- along there at 8am for an hour or so to deal with the pens, then again at tea time. Mostly just feed/water/straw etc but sometimes my small hands are an advantage lambing a ewe!
Lots of new paintings, and I am busy with a series of hound groups at the moment - loving them.
This is the final week of a shared exhibtiion at Duns castle (scottish Borders) run by caroline hay,of Art Amatoria, and it has gone fantastically well. She is going to be taking my work to the Scottish game fair at Scone later this year.
I am loving getting back to riding the horses - Spencer I have an unaffiliated ODE on Friday, then our first BE event at Northallerton on 30th April. Ginger (the leg breaker) is as good as gold, we had our first flat lesson since the accident, and he has really benefitted from his time at Jane's 'boot camp' and is going straighter understanding more.
Kate came and did a complete re-hang of the gallery last week, so we have all the new work up, and an landscape extravaganza as soon as you come into the gallery!
I am open on Sunday afternoons, but visitors are welcome at other times if I am around - just give me a call if you'd like to have a look round.
oh- have you spotted anything odd about the main photo? email me on info@marogers.com if you did!
